WELCOME TO “CINEMA PORTRAITS” ONLINE
The debut of the author is unique for Bulgaria not only with his idea, but with the approach of presenting the works. Illumination effects, selected music, spatial solutions and real models to reveal portraits of his audience – these are just a few of the elements of the spectacular event which reveals a new vision for the realization of an exhibition in Bulgaria.
Film and TV cinematographer by profession, Andrey Rashev carries the film world in his photographs, and through two art shows a hybrid product. Every frame itself can be included in any movie, but it remains a task-to bring viewers the photographs in the world of their own fantasies.
“I love to photograph people. Whether you are male or female, interesting people provoke my imagination “, says the author in connection with what had inspired his project. The famous faces who stand in front of the lens of Andrey Rashev for this exhibition are Raina Kabaivanska, Dilyana Popova, Lina Zlateva, Stefany Kocheva, Joanna Temelkova, Gerassim Georgiev – Gero and many others.
“Cinema Portraits” is just the beginning of a series of projects of Andrey Rashev. In 2012 his forthcoming exhibition in Berlin, where he will present some persons from Bulgaria. Meanwhile, it will work for the realization of two projects: one related to European cities, and the other subject of black and white vision and filmed classic method of tape and manual development of negatives.
